Italic script – capital letters (majuscules)
The following seventh lesson of the online calligraphy course is a collection of a schematic sequence of pen strokes for italic calligraphy. The animations illustrate the capital letters of Italic script, i.e. its majuscules.
In this lesson, as in the earlier one, letters are grouped according to their similarity in calligraphy.
Majuscule letters “M W V N”
With diagonal strokes in this group of letters, pay attention to maintaining the pen angle. The same pen angle will give us variations in the thickness of the diagonal lines.

Majuscule letters “O C D G Q”
This group of letters is based on an oval. We can create it in one or two strokes. There is no better or worse method in this case.

Majuscule letters “T I L F E”
The common denominator of this group of letters is their vertical staff. In most cases, this is where we start building the letter.

Majuscule letters “B R P S J U”
The first group of letters are those with bellies. The base shape here is the letter “P”. Based on it, we can easily build “B” and “R”. The second group has no common denominator. The letter “S” may initially cause some difficulties due to the specific strokes of the arcs.

Majuscule letters “H A K X Y Z”
Once you have mastered the previous characters, these two groups of letters should not pose any major difficulties. We do not have arcs and ovals here.
